On this tour, we will visit a neighbourhood that’s one of Paris’s best-kept secrets. Elegant, residential, and quietly beautiful, it’s the kind of place where the city feels less like a destination and more like real life unfolding.

This neighborhood carries the warm, understated charm of Parisian family life: calm, tree-lined avenues, neighbors chatting at the bakery. It’s a place where locals live — not where tourists flock — and that’s exactly what makes it so special.

Over the years, I’ve come to know these streets intimately — not just their layout, but their layers of history, their quiet charm, and the cultural details that most people walk right past. On this fan-favorite walk, I’ll guide you through:

  • stunning residential avenues with beautiful, 19th-century architecture

  • tucked-away old streets that feel like time capsules

  • a legendary writer’s house and garden with an unforgettable view of the Eiffel Tower

  • a beloved local pedestrian street full of top-quality French food shops—no tourists, just Parisians doing their weekend shopping

  • and a hidden neighborhood garden where the city seems to pause

Along the way, I’ll share stories — some personal, others drawn from the rich cultural and historical fabric of the neighborhood. You’ll learn about the artists, thinkers, and architects who helped shape this part of Paris, but never in a lecture-y way.

It’s a walk through one of the city’s most authentic and elegant corners, guided by someone who knows the neighborhood not just by memory, but by heart.

Beautiful, dreamy, timeless, and far from mass tourism, the neighborhoods of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the Latin Quarter — nestled in the 6th and 5th arrondissements — hold a special place in my heart. I had the joy of spending my university years studying law here, surrounded by their enchanting charm.

Romantic and intellectual, this district is home to some of Paris’s oldest and most prestigious institutions, including La Sorbonne, founded in the 12th century. You’ve likely heard of the iconic ‘Café de Flore’ and ‘Les Deux Magots,’ where great minds like Ernest Hemingway, Simone de Beauvoir, and Picasso once lingered over coffee and conversation.

Together, we’ll wander through elegant residential squares, tucked-away streets, and admire exquisite architecture. We’ll step inside one of the most breathtaking churches in Paris and relax in the city’s most beloved garden — the Luxembourg Gardens — created in the 17th century by Queen Marie de’ Medici.

This district is full of hidden gems and fascinating stories, which I can’t wait to share with you.

And as a final treat: a stunning viewpoint over the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the riverside—a perfect ending to a poetic journey through the soul of Paris.

Nestled on a hill, Montmartre was once its own village until 1860, when Napoleon III and Baron Haussmann expanded the city during the Second Empire. Even today, Montmartre feels like a world apart, a world wrapped in nostalgia, where time slows down and imagination comes alive.

This historic neighbourhood was home to legendary artists like Amedeo Modigliani, Vincent Van Gogh, and Edith Piaf. Today, it remains one of the most charming and authentic corners of Paris, with its own rhythm and soul. The gleaming white Basilique du Sacré-Cœur crowns the hill, offering one of the most breathtaking views of the city.

As we wander through Montmartre’s winding staircases and cobbled streets, we’ll discover its hidden magic. While the Place du Tertre buzzes with tourists, just a few steps away you’ll find peaceful corners and romantic alleyways that most tourists miss. Places where Parisians live quietly among secret courtyards, and an old vineyard. You’ll also see the famous Pink House and stumble upon empty, picture-perfect spots that feel untouched by time.

At the foot of the hill, cozy bistros, vintage carousels, and charming alleyways await. And if you’re in the mood for a lively evening, the iconic Moulin Rouge is just around the corner—ready to wrap up your day with a dash of Belle Époque flair.

Montmartre isn’t just a destination—it’s a feeling. Let me show you its secrets.

The Louvre Palace requires no extra introduction — originally built in the 12th century and now home to the largest and most iconic art museum in the world. Beyond the museum walls however, the entire Louvre and Opéra district is a showcase of architectural elegance, hidden gems, and rich history – best explored on foot with a local guide.

From the breathtaking Place de la Concorde, you’ll enjoy a stunning 360-degree view that stretches across the Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower, the Seine riverfront, and the elegant Tuileries Garden. I’ll take you off the beaten path to discover a hidden artistic courtyard, and the location of the oldest jeweller in the world, founded in 1613 during the Renaissance. We’ll also marvel at the Palais Garnier, the opulent 19th-century opera house that inspired The Phantom of the Opera.

This district is a unique blend of business, culture, and residential life. It stands at the heart of Haussmann’s grand redesign of Paris in the late 19th century, when the city was reborn into the elegant capital we admire today.

Whether you’re passionate about art, architecture, or simply want to experience the soul of Paris beyond the tourist hotspots, this walk is a journey through the city’s most refined and captivating neighbourhood.
